The wind and electrical industries require specialized tools as well as the knowledge to use them and other general maintenance tools. A great work ethics as well as the ability to learn is a must in these maintenance industries. The ability to make reports, follow directions and accurately communicate with off site management is also a requirement.
Approximately 30% of students graduating from the program are employed in Utility Scale Wind energy, 60% are employed in Electrical/Renewable industry and 10% are in the Maintenance Field.
We also encourage students to be a part of the CSI Renewable Energy Club that helps maintain Renewable Projects in our community. Donations from the generate new projects as well as fund trips to solar decathlon and other out of state trips to see state of the art renewable projects.
The college of Southern Idaho technical faculty has developed strong partnerships with regional businesses designing the most contemporary education. We also help students who have completed their technical program with resume, and interview skills to help them land the career of the dreams.
